Commodore Grand Prix 2027 is coming in April 2027

Nigeria will welcome some of the world’s leading track and field athletes in 2027 when the Commodore Grand Prix makes its debut in April.

Approved by World Athletics as part of the Continental Tour, the event is also scheduled to appear on the 2027 World Athletics Global Calendar.

The competition’s approval and inclusion on the World Athletics calendar mark a significant milestone for Nigerian athletics. It provides another opportunity for the country to host an international-standard athletics meeting and enables Nigerian athletes to compete alongside leading global competitors.

The Commodore Grand Prix is promoted by Commodore Sports Agency, a sports organisation committed to developing high-quality athletics events, creating opportunities for athletes, and strengthening Nigeria’s position in international athletics.

The event is led by an experienced team with expertise in athletics event management, technical operations, athlete management, communications, marketing, partnerships, and sponsorship.
